Molly and Dave | New Castle, Delaware | Chesapeake City, Maryland | Wedding Photography

Posted on: August 31st, 2012

Labor Day weekend was a busy one this year, and we kicked if off by photographing Molly and Dave’s wedding at New Castle Presbyterian Church in New Castle, Delaware and Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City, Maryland.

I started off with Molly at Salon Pasca on Greenhill Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware.

Joe met up with the guys at Molly and Dave’s house in Wilmington, Delaware while they hung out and got dressed.

I headed to Molly’s parents’ house with the ladies so Molly could get dressed. As always, I think the guys did a lot more hanging out and the girls did a lot more getting ready. :)

Joe and I arrived at New Castle Presbyterian Church in New Castle, Delaware for the ceremony. This is one of my favorite locations because the beautiful historic church has great window light and has beautiful grounds.

The bridal party, including jazz hands!

Some portraits of Dave and Molly (and a cute flower girl, too!)

From Old New Castle, we headed to the Chesapeake Inn for the reception. Joe and I have been to this location since the first year we worked together about 7 years ago, and we’ve always really enjoyed shooting there.

Molly and Dave’s first dance was so sweet. You can really tell how happy they are and how much they love each other.

Time for the best man toast!

During dinner, I got the chance to get some photos of some of the wedding details. These are always some of my favorites shots to do– couples put so much time into making their weddings special and unique, down to the smallest details, and I love capturing images of the results of all of that thought and hard work.

After dinner, parent dances. We can always get some really touching moments during these dances. As a mom of a little boy, I’m always amazed at how elegant and composed these parents stay– I know I’ll be crying my eyes out when my son gets married!

Time to cut the cake! Molly and Dave seemed to have fun without getting too much cake on each other!

The rest of the night was spent dancing and having fun with family and friends.

Congratulations, guys, and thank you so much for having us at your wedding!

I am Dave’s Mom and I was impressed at how you accomplished all that you did without even being a little bit in the way! I didn’t even know you were there except when we had some requested family shots taken. I will recommend you to anyone and everyone who needs a good photographer! Thank you.
