Thank you, Groupon clients!

Posted on: March 5th, 2012

First, I want to extend a thank you to all of you who helped make this Groupon promotion an overwhelming success! I am so excited to be able to extend such a great deal to so many people.

Groupon does not provide me with any of your names, emails, etc., so I can’t contact you until you contact me first. I know as a Groupon customer I didn’t realize the merchants didn’t know anything about me except a list of Groupon numbers, so I wanted to pass that on.

For those of you who booked wedding packages, if you have not gotten in touch with me to make sure your date is available and schedule a time to sign a wedding contract, please do so as soon as you can. I am offering a slew of discounts on prints, products, DVDs, albums, and album collections just for my Groupon wedding clients. Your Groupon does not expire in August– I have been booking weddings into 2013 with this promotion.

For those of you who booked portrait packages, I am booking up very quickly. The Groupon promotion is valid until May, 2013, so you have over a year to take advantage of this great deal. However, if you want something in spring or summer of 2012, please call me or email me. I still have some limited slots in mid to late May open, and more beyond that. If you’re planning on using the Groupon for holiday photos or holiday cards, I do expect to be busy that time of year, so you may want to schedule your session with me soon.

I will be offering some product discounts for Groupon portrait clients as well. I can email you the flyer ahead of time, or I will bring it to me with your session. Please contact me for details. There will be a print credit package, some accordion books, cards and announcements, and even some photo jewelry.

Again, thank you all so much for your patronage. I can’t wait to capture some gorgeous images!

Susan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are you!? So I was trolling groupon for deals and I come across Lightwork Photography and think, “We need a family portrait. I’m in Delaware from time to time. This is perfect.” Then, I read the fine print and see your name! Woo hoo! I was very impressed with your work but also your website and general business aura. I can feel your energy and humor, but also your professionalism. Just wanted to give you that sloppy wet dog lick of a review (not that you asked). Anyway, I’d love to schedule our session! I know you’re booking up and I’m still debating when to try since Jenny and I are expecting baby #2 in September! So the question is do we do a long-overdue session with just Owen before the new baby comes and chops his parental attention in half or do we wait until our family is complete? Hmm. We plan to come down to DE Easter weekend and likely sometime over the summer (July or August). Otherwise, we usually come down between Christmas and New Years. What are your thoughts/availability? Talk to you soon! Rob

Rob! I’ve been thinking about you and your family for a long time but I haven’t had time to catch up! I’m so excited you bought my Groupon just because it means we get to hang out! Thanks for the lovely review, it’s always always appreciated. Now, no stories on my blog about my awkward high school years. :) I am going to be traveling during Easter, but I have some availability in July and August. I’m starting to book up in the fall already, but that week between Christmas and New Years I’m pretty free. However, we’re going to be limited in terms of location in the winter– with an infant and a little guy, we’ll want to stay inside most likely, which can be fun and make for gorgeous images, but we have a little more flexibility outside to let the kids run around and do their kid thing. Specifically, with kids Owen’s age, I really like to let them do their thing and run around rather than try to pose them too much. The new one won’t be doing to much running around at that point (unless it’s Superbaby, which is altogether possible with a Hutchison). Really, it’s up to you. We could do something with Owen in the summer, we could wait until winter and do something indoors, or even wait until next spring to do something outdoors with both kids. However, I bet we could get some really nice maternity/family portraits in the summer when Jenny is still pregnant. That might be really cool, so think about it, and ask Jenny if she’s going to feel up to photos in the summer when she’s very pregnant. Maternity family portraits can be really gorgeous, though, if she’s up for it. We’d also get shots of Owen alone doing his kid thing, and you with Jenny, etc. Let me know, and I’ll put you in the schedule!

    Susan,
I just wanted to leave you a note to say Thank you so much for the Bridal Shower for Kayla. You and Jen were such a pleasure to work with and I am so excited for the wedding now. I can only imagine how nice the pictures are going to be as you and Jen are amazing. For anyone else that may be reading this I highly reccommend Lightwork Photography.
